Events have long been used by marketers as a means to launch new products, build brand equity and reach new markets – nothing has changed there. What has changed is the way a real-life event can gain new life online, and how untraditional measurement techniques used in conjunction with traditional events can drive smarter event planning and echo out into the social web.
