Two of the resources on our resources list that I find myself browsing quite often are mashable.com and adage.com. While these two resources are both vastly different from each other, each has different qualities that make them great resources for the up and coming advertiser. If you’re looking for more of a serious advertising news outlet, adage.com is for you. Adage.com keeps those interested in advertising up to date with all the latest happens in the advertising world with many articles that discuss all the latest advertising news around the world. They stay relevant with always changing news stories and are also a good outlet for advertising and media news in the entertainment circuit.

If you’re looking for more of a resource that covers Internet marketing and advertising or social media, then mashable.com might for you. I feel that mashable.com is almost more for the media side of things. They focus a lot on popular YouTube videos, or funny memes or things that are about to go viral.  Mashable also has a more lighthearted feel to it than adage.com does with stories on the front page like “Top 10 Gifts for a Geeky Groom”.

Even upon first glance, it’s obvious that both resources have a very different tone. The adage.com homepage resembles the Wall Street Journal, while mashable.com plays off Facebook blue as their header; a great quick way to get a feel for both these informative websites.
